The Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) is set to publish recommendations on the hike on May 24 th which would see the threshold increase on June 01 to 5.25% or two percentage points above the market rate, whichever is higher. Mortgage professionals should be attuned to another prospect in coming weeks.
